There are a number of different types of roller shutter available. Generally they are as follows:
Steel single skin – mainly used for general protection of commercial/industrial premises. Can be supplied in a galvanised finish, Plastisol finish or powder coated to a RAL colour. Can be manually or electrically operated. Can be supplied with a punched or perforated format.
Steel twin skin insulated – primarily used for new industrial builds to meet the requirements of Part M of the Building Regulations in respect of insulation qualities. Can be supplied in a galvanised finish, Plastisol finish or powder coated to a RAL colour. Can be manually or electrically operated. Small vision panels can be incorporated if required.
Steel twin skin attack resistance – standard twin skin steel with integral security bars giving protection against attack by grinders. Plastisol finish or powder coated to a RAL colour. Generally electrically operated.
Aluminium single skin – primarily used by retailers. These shutters are more aesthetically pleasing and can be supplied in a mill finish or RAL powder coated finish. Curtain options include a punched format or a punched and glazed format (glazing with class O spread of flame. Can be manually or electrically operated.
Aluminium twin skin – mainly used where a larger span is required. Generally electrically operated. Can be supplied in a mill finish or RAL powder coated finish.
Aluminium extruded – available in various formats for domestic, commercial and retail applications. Lath depth ranges from 38mm to 76mm and can be foam filled for added insulation qualities. Pre-coated in a limited range of colours. Can be manually or electrically operated
Horizontal sliding security grilles – collapsible lattice types grilles for domestic and commercial applications. Also available with Level One security rating. Powder coated to a RAL colour. Always manually operated and located internally
Vertically rolling security grilles – Normally used internally inn a Retail environment. Can be supplied mill finish or powder coated to a RAL colour. Can be manually or electrically operated. Generally located internally.
Steel fire rated single skin – similar in construction to the steel single skin but tested for fire resistance. Most fire shutters are certified to 4 hour resistance. Can be supplied in a galvanised finish or powder coated to a RAL colour. Generally electrically operated. Final connection to the fire alarm system is always undertaken by the Client.

Sectional overhead – manufactured from 600mm deep aluminium insulated panels, these doors are particularly suited to Industrial applications. Normally supplied in a limited pre-coated colour finish. Can be manually or electrically operated.

All electrically operated doors are able to be supplied with accessories from the following range:
- Keyswitch/Rocker switch
- Group commands
- Safety edge
- Photocell
- Induction loop
Fire shutters can be supplied with:
- Audio visual warning device
- Battery back-up system
